Time. What exactly is it? We are governed by its progress & all that we do is predicated on its constraints. We are taught that there are only so many seconds within a minute. These minutes then turn hours into days that become years. And after so many, we die.

Within this time we identify the days we are born & how often we celebrate them. All of the moments made in-between them are the tales detailing the odyssey of our lives. But how often do we stop to ponder the machinery behind the way progress is measured? That raging ball of fire omnipresent in our skies.

I have always been drawn to the circle of gold. I’ve chased it, watched it & framed it because i know that it knows more than i will ever know. I longed for a dialog with its wisdom, but its distance was always worth keeping & it blinds my eyes so that i can’t see. So i’ve awaited its descent with hopes to converse & persuade it to share with me everything behind the calm violence that gives life to all i’ve known.

Stare at the skies long enough & you’ll find all of the answers that you need.

What if i told you that the secrets to life are littered everywhere in nature. Ever present yet overlooked because our distracted lives lack the capacity to see it. From the circular celestial objects of the heavens that demonstrate how there is no beginning & no end, to the changing of seasons brandishing a transitory death into the frigid winter, only to be reborn again in the warmth of spring.

Ruminate on chronology to also realize that the past cannot be relived, the future will never really exist so every moment known as the present is all that we’ll ever have. Yet the paradox lies within the reflection that we are already living within the past of the future.

So as we measure the illusion of time by the cycles of dawn & dusk, don’t squander your attention away when below these fleeting magical instances above. Because every now & then the Sun will denote how it is so in love with the sky, that its kisses leave lipstick on the surrounding clouds for all to see. Exhibiting how unconditional & absent from expectations love should be.
